Are you ready to produce more firewood in less time, with less effort?
We wanted our splitter to be efficient and ergonomic. We started with the fastest and most efficient splitter on the market, the Super Split.
Then we built a system around it so you can work all day and never feel strained or tired; use less than a gallon of gas and produce about 2 cords
an hour.
Our first task was to make the splitter towable, so we fit it into a trailer. This allowed us lots of room for stacking rounds. It has 2
sections one is steel and one is wood. Then, we needed an output table to eliminate bending down to pick up the split firewood.
A unique feature of our trailer is that it allows you to spin the splitter so that you can produce firewood to the left or right,
depending on your situation.
After using the splitter for a while and noticing all the energy in the flywheels that was being produced and not being used, we set out
to harness some of that energy. We first put it to use to lift rounds. We mounted a capstan winch onto the pinion shaft of the flywheels.
We added some rigging and what we call the chunk loader. Now you can load one or several rounds or chunks onto the chunk loader. It can handle
up to 350 pounds. We call this model the Firewoodinator.
Why stop at rounds? We kept going and turned the Super Split into a processor. We added ramps and a parbuckling jackshaft so we could pull up whole
logs. The logs were wider than the trailer so we added two more wooden topped tables. We chose to use wood so that we could buck our log on them without
damaging our saw if we should cut just a little too far. Our system can load the log without the assistance of other equipment. The Logrite Processor is
an open system, so it can handle any size or shape of the log. You can process diameters you didn't think possible before or logs with sweeps or crotches.
We even tried yarding with the capstan. We attached a log to one of our arches and then used the rope and the capstan winch to pull the logs to us
from the woods.
